Detroit beats NAIA Michigan-Dearborn 122-70

DETROIT (AP) Chris Jenkins scored a career-high 25 points on Monday night, and Detroit scored its most points in 36 years to beat NAIA Michigan-Dearborn 122-70.

Aaron Foster-Smith added 22 points for the Titans (2-1), whose offensive output tied the seventh highest in school history and the most since a program-record 135 points against City College of New York in 1979.

Detroit shot 15 of 27 from 3-point range with Jenkins going 4 of 6 and Foster-Smith 4 of 4.

The Titans built a 19-point lead in the middle of the first half with a 19-4 run and closed with an 18-5 run for a 62-34 halftime margin. Dearborn got no closer than 26 in the second half.

Matthew Grant had 13 points and Josh McFolley scored 12. Jarod Williams and Carlton Brundidge added 10 points.

Xavier Crofford, Jacob Wendel and Marcus Williams scored 12 for the Wolverines.
