Ray McCallum scored 19 points and Doug Anderson had 16 points and 12 rebounds to lead Detroit to an 80-56 victory over Alabama State Thursday night.
The Titans (6-8) shot 54 percent from the field. They led 40-34 at halftime and widened the margin after that, holding the Hornets to 24 percent shooting in the second half and 32 percent for the game.
Detroit had a 50-30 advantage in points in the paint and 16-4 in fast-break points.
Tramaine Butler led the Hornets (2-9) with 24 points and seven rebounds. Kenderek Washington scored 14 points for Alabama State.
