Delaware St. 95, Philadelphia Biblical 46

DOVER, Del. (AP) — Tahj Tate scored 15 points and 13 other Delaware State players scored at least three points in the Hornets' 95-46 rout of Cairn on Monday night in a nonconference game.
Delaware State led 9-6 early in the first half before scoring 16 straight to take a 25-6 lead.
Cairn, formerly called Philadelphia Biblical University, stopped the run with five straight points of its own, but Delaware State reeled off 19 consecutive after that to put the game away.
Delaware State, which led 46-19 at the half, used backups for the majority of the second half, as 16 different Hornets logged minutes.
The Hornets shot 50 percent (39 of 78) from the field and outrebounded Cairn 46-33. Delaware State also dished out 24 assists - compared to just two for Cairn - and recorded 18 steals.
Seth Heinicke led Cairn with 17 points but the Highlanders shot just 32.6 percent (15 of 46) from the field.
