Jake Cohen scored 29 points and grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds to lead Davidson past College of Charleston 87-69 on Thursday night for the Wildcats' sixth straight win.

Cohen shot 9 of 17 from the field and made all seven of his free throw attempts.

Charleston (12-6, 4-3 Southern Conference) trailed 17-13 after Trent Wiedeman knocked down a 3-pointer. But Cohen scored eight straight points and De'Mon Brooks made two jumpers to give Davidson a 29-16 lead with 9:02 left in the first half.

The Cougars cut the lead to six, 61-55, in the second half but Tyler Kalinoski made a 3 and Nik Cochran scored five straight to put the Wildcats back on top 69-57.

Davidson (13-4, 7-0) shot 45 percent (30 of 66) from the field compared to 39 percent (24 of 61) for Charleston and outrebounded the Cougars 48-34.
