Jake Cohen scored 11 of his 16 points in the first half as Davidson rolled past Georgia Southern 71-54 Saturday night to sweep the season series.

The Wildcats (22-7, 16-2), who had already won the Southern Conference South Division and earned the South's top seed in the league tournament, denied the Eagles (14-14, 12-6) the No. 2 seed. The loss, combined with Wofford's win over Furman, gave the Terriers the first-round bye.

Davidson, which has won 11 straight in the series, including 96-77 on Jan. 7, led by 12 in the first half and 33-24 at the break. The Wildcats' biggest lead was 70-50.

JP Kuhlman added 15 points, De'Mon Brooks 14 and Nik Cochran 12 for Davidson, which outshot Georgia Southern 47.2 percent (25 of 53) to 31.1 percent (19 of 61). However, the Wildcats made only 1 of 14 3-pointers.
