Tyrone White and Issiah Grayson scored 17 points each and CS Bakersfield won its fourth straight game, defeating CS Northridge 74-67 on Wednesday night.
Stephon Carter added 10 points for the Roadrunners (4-1), who are off to their best start since winning their first five games in 2005-06. Bakersfield shot 63 percent from the field while CS Northridge shot 34 percent.
Steven Maxwell led the Matadors (1-5) with 20 points and 11 rebounds. CS Northridge used a 23-6 run to take a 52-51 lead with 8 minutes left, but Bakersfield broke away from a 62-62 tie with 3 minutes to play, scoring 12 points to the Matadors' five.
