Jordan Lee scored 20 points as Coppin State came back to defeat Norfolk State 76-69 on Monday night.

Lee and Michael Harper, who had 14 points, scored eight points each during a 23-8 second-half run when the Eagles (15-13, 10-5 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) turned a 35-27 deficit into a 50-43 lead.

Coppin State's lead reached 13 points, 61-48, with 9:04 left, but Norfolk State (9-19, 7-8), with Brandon Wheeless getting 12 of his 16 points in the second half, cut it to 71-67 with 1:17 remaining.

The Spartans were unable to get closer, misfiring on three 3-point attempts in the final minute, while Coppin State was able to pad its lead at the free-throw line. Norfolk State was 2 of 14 behind the 3-point line in the second half.

Coppin State enjoyed a 12-point advantage at the free-throw line after halftime, making 20 of 24 to Norfolk State's 8 of 11.
