Colorado coach Tad Boyle has lost his first player from the roster he inherited when he took over the Buffaloes' program from Jeff Bzdelik.

Boyle announced Monday that freshman guard Keegan Hornbuckle has decided to transfer.

Hornbuckle, one of four freshman on the roster last season, played in 24 games, averaging 2.4 points and 1.6 rebounds. He missed six games with a right shoulder injury.

Big 12 Freshman of the Year Alec Burks announced last week that he was staying in school after Boyle was hired to replace Bzdelik, who went to Wake Forest.
