Coastal Carolina powers past Longwood 67-58

CONWAY, S.C. (AP) Josh Cameron scored 17 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead Coastal Carolina to a 67-58 win over Longwood on Saturday.

Coastal Carolina (14-10, 7-3 Big South) quickly took control of the game with a 22-3 run in the first half to build a lead that was never challenged. Cameron, who was 6 of 9 from the field, also grabbed seven rebounds and dished out seven assists but led the team with six turnovers.

Badou Diagne contributed 16 points and had eight rebounds, while Elijah Wilson had 15 points and Warren Gillis had 11 in the win, which kept the Chanticleers tied with UNC-Asheville for first in their division. The Chanticleers had a 45-33 rebounding advantage over Longwood (7-18, 2-8), while holding the Lancers to just 2 of 18 from 3-point range

Tristan Carey led Longwood with 16 points and nine rebounds, Darrion Allen contributed 12 points and Jeylani Dublin 11.
