Norris Cole scored 19 points and Cleveland State equaled its best-ever start with an 83-49 rout of Urbana Monday night.

Jeremy Montgomery added 18 points for the Vikings, who are 4-0 for the third time in their history, matching starts in 1963-64 and 1985-86. Urbana (0-3) kept an opponent under 100 points for the first time, to no avail.

Sharif Muhammad Jr., the only Urbana player in double figures, led his team with 17 points. The Blue Knights never led, but Charlton Conner tied it at 14 with a pair of free throws with 11:48 to play in the first half before the Vikings ran off eight unanswered points.

Despite shooting only 28.6 in the first half (8 of 28), the Blue Knights trailed only 36-27 at halftime. But their second-half shooting was even worse (4 of 24 for 16.7 percent) and the Vikings twice built the lead to 34 points, including the final margin.
