Cleveland St. 45, Wright St. 43

D'Aundray Brown tipped in a missed shot just before the buzzer to give Cleveland State a 45-43 victory over Wright State Thursday night in the teams' Horizon League opener.
On a cold shooting night by both teams, a Wright State turnover and a Cleveland State missed shot led to the winning basket. With the score tied at 43, Wright State (2-5) committed a turnover on a dribble handoff with 27.1 seconds left. That gave the Vikings (7-1) one last chance.
As the clock ticked down, Jeremy Montgomery drove the lane but his floater bounced off the rim. Brown crashed the boards, leaping off the baseline and, with 0.03 seconds left, tipped in the game-winner.
Vikings forward Tim Kamczyc was the only player on either team to score in double figures, with 12 points and seven rebounds. The Vikings were 16 of 40 from the floor, Wright State 16 of 39.
