Chattanooga blows past Furman 67-52

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) Casey Jones scored 18 points to lead Chattanooga to a 67-52 win over Furman on Saturday night.
Chattanooga (15-9, 9-1 Southern Conference) took control of the game midway through the first half with an 18-2 run sparked by a Ronrico White 3-pointer, and never trailed again.
Z. Mason, who scored 10 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, became the first Chattanooga player to reach a trio of milestones in the win - 1,000 career points, 500 rebounds and 100 blocked shots. Martynas Bareika contributed 16 points and White had 10 for the Mocs, who are 9-1 in conference play for the first time since the 1996-97 season.
Furman (7-14, 1-7) hit just 21 of 54 from the field and committed 19 turnovers, eight more than Chattanooga.
Stephen Croone led the Paladins with 14 points, while Kendrec Ferrara added 11 and Charlie Reddick had 12 rebounds.
