Chattanooga blasts past Alabama State 95-58

NICEVILLE, Fla. (AP) Tre' McLean scored 18 points on 7-for-9 shooting to lead Chattanooga to a 95-58 win over Alabama State in the Emerald Coast Classic on Friday.

Justin Tuoyo added 12 points, Casey Jones had 11 to go with seven assists, and Greg Pryor had 10 points for Chattanooga (4-1), which shot 68 percent from the field on 53 attempts and was 13 of 23 from behind the arc.

Chattanooga took a 38-22 advantage into the break and then extended its lead throughout the second half.

Alabama State (1-3) won the rebounding battle 39-31 but was held to just 33 percent shooting from the floor and had trouble controlling the ball as Chattanooga forced 16 turnovers to its 8.

Bobby Brown led Alabama State with 14 points and Jamel Waters added 11.
