Jamarco Warren scored 31 points to lead Charleston Southern over North Carolina-Asheville 79-70 on Tuesday night.

The Buccaneers (14-14, 8-8 Big South Conference) trailed 39-29 at halftime after turning it over 16 times in the first 20 minutes. The Bulldogs (13-12, 8-7) scored 23 points off the first-half miscues.

Charleston Southern, which was 11-of-29 shooting in the first half, improved to 53.6 percent shooting in the second (15 of 28). The Buccaneers finished shooting 45.6 percent from the field (26 of 57) and 80.8 percent from the free-throw line (21 of 26).

Kenny Mitchell added 13 points and 11 rebounds for Charleston Southern and Jeremy Sexton chipped in 12 points.

J.P. Primm led the Bulldogs with 20 points and had five of their 10 steals. John Williams added 14 points for UNC Asheville, which committed 18 turnovers to Charleston Southern's 23.
