Central Florida snaps skid with 73-62 win over USF

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) Kasey Wilson scored 18 points, hauled in 11 rebounds and Central Florida snapped a six-game skid with a 73-62 win over South Florida on Wednesday night.

B.J. Taylor contributed 15 points, Staphon Blair added 14 and Daiquan Walker had 10, including a pair of 3-pointers, for UCF (10-13, 3-9 American Athletic Conference), which hit 25 of 51 from the floor and held a 17-8 edge in made free throws.

Wilson's 3-pointer midway through the first half sparked a 14-0 run capped by Blair's dunk that put the Knights up 26-11 with 8:02 to go before the break. USF (7-18, 1-11) opened the second half with buckets from Anthony Collins and Bo Zeigler to cut the gap to 35-30 but it was as close as the Bulls would get the rest of the way.

Corey Allen Jr. paced USF with 15 points, Troy Holston Jr. added 14 and Dinero Mercurius and Ziegler had 10.
