Robby Ptacek scored 18 points and Ken Horton had 17 to lead Central Connecticut State over Brown 67-51 on Wednesday night.

Ptacek had eight rebounds and Horton seven as the Blue Devils (7-5) outrebounded Brown 40-29. It was the Blue Devils' seventh straight home win and third overall.

Central Connecticut State shot 50 percent in the first half (16 of 32), compared to 8-of-26 shooting by the Bears (4-6).

The Blue Devils led 20-18 with 6:14 left in the first half before outscoring Brown 18-6 until halftime. Ptacek's 3 put Central Connecticut State up 38-24 with 5 seconds left in the first half.

The Bears couldn't get any closer than 13 after halftime and Central Connecticut State led by as many as 23 three times.

Matt Sullivan scored 10 points for Brown, which lost its third straight. It was also the Bears' third straight loss in the series.
