Ken Horton scored a game-high 32 points on 13-of-19 shooting to help Central Connecticut State cruise past Bryant 83-51 on Thursday night in the Northeast Conference opener for both teams.

Central Connecticut State (4-2) shot 50.8 percent (32 of 63) from the field in the game, drained 13 3-pointers, and scored 32 points off 19 Bryant turnovers.

The Blue Devils jumped out to a quick 13-0 lead just 4 minutes into the game thanks to a pair of 3s from Horton. The Bulldogs did not score until Corey Maynard drilled a 3-pointer with 14:07 left in the first half.

Bryant (1-6) had four players in double figures with Alex Francis, Corey Maynard and Frankie Dobbs all scoring 12 points in the game.

Robby Ptacek scored 20 points for Central Connecticut State while Kyle Vinales finished with 15 and Malcolm McMillan added 13 assists for the Blue Devils.
