Bryant pulls away from Emerson College, 82-69

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (AP) Nisre Zouzoua scored 23 points on 8-of-11 shooting, including 4-of-7 from 3-point range, to help lead Bryant past Emerson College, 82-69, on Wednesday night.

Hunter Ware also finished with 23 points and Shane McLaughlin added 10 for the Bulldogs (1-1), who shot 44.1 percent from the field and hit 11 total 3's.

Bryant led 40-35 at halftime and opened the second half on a 12-0 run started by a Ware 3-pointer and capped by three consecutive baskets by Bosko Kostur. Emerson College never trimmed the deficit below double digits the rest of the night, falling behind a game high 19 points on a Zouzoua dunk and free throw with 10:52 left.

Michael Sheng led the Lions with 17 points. John Geary had 13 points and Will Lantier added 10. Emerson shot 40.3 percent from the field.
