BROOKLYN, N.Y. (AP) Dyami Starks scored 25 points with seven boards and three assists, rallying Bryant in the second half to a 67-63 win over LIU Brooklyn in the Northeast Conference opener for both teams Saturday.

Starks scored 19 points in the second half alone, rallying the Bulldogs (4-6, 1-0) from a 10-point deficit early in the second quarter to a 7-point advantage with 1:35 to play. Joe O'Shea added 18 points and Shane McLaughlin 10.

LIU Brooklyn took a 22-13 lead on a Gerrell Martin layup with 5:15 to go in the first period and was up 27-22 at the break.

Starks ignited a 17-6 Bryant run midway in the second period, scoring 12 points himself including a pair of 3s, to put the Bulldogs on top, 57-51, with 2:42 remaining.

Martin led the Blackbirds (4-8, 0-1) with 27 points and three steals.
