Boston U. 69, Quinnipiac 62

John Papale scored 16 points, including a tying 3-pointer at the end of regulation, to lead Boston University past Quinnipiac 69-62 in overtime in a nonconference game Sunday.
Papale, a freshman guard, made 4 of 7 treys, including the one with 6 seconds left in regulation. His two baskets in overtime, the second a 3-pointer, gave the Terriers (4-6) a 61-54 lead with 3:06 remaining.
The Bobcats (3-6) trailed 49-45 with 1:37 left in regulation but grabbed a 52-49 lead on a 3-pointer by Zaid Hearst, a layup by Jamee Jackson and two free throws by Garvey Young with 12 seconds left.
D.J. Irving added 14 points, Dom Morris had 12 and Maurice Watson Jr. and Malik Thomas scored 11 each for Boston, with Watson making five steals.
Ike Azotam had 19 points and 10 rebounds for Quinnipiac - his 20th career double-double - and Hearst had 18 points.
