Big South leader UNC-Asheville routs of Presbyterian, 89-48 (Feb 15, 2017)

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (AP) MaCio Teague scored 18 points and Ahmad Thomas scored his 1,000th career point as UNC-Asheville maintained a share of the Big South Conference lead by routing Presbyterian 89-48 on Wednesday night.

The Bulldogs, who won at home for the 12th time in 13 games, remains tied with idle Liberty atop the Big South standings. UNC-Asheville has three games remaining in its regular season, including a showdown at home with Liberty in the finale.

Teague hit 7 of 11 from the field, including 4 of 7 from beyond the arc, to lead the Bulldogs (21-7, 13-2). Thomas entered the game with 988 career points and scored 14. Raekwon Miller had 15 points.

UNC-Asheville shot 55.1 percent from the field in the game, including 51.9 percent from beyond the arc.

Reggie Dillard scored 14 points to lead Presbyterian (5-21, 1-14), and JC Younger added another 13.
