Belmont turns away Morehead State 80-66

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) Craig Bradshaw scored all 24 of his points in the second half and Belmont won its third straight game with an 80-66 victory over Morehead State on Thursday night.

J.J. Mann added 19 points and Reece Chamberlain 17 for the Bruins (15-7, 6-1), who stayed atop the Ohio Valley East Division standings in turning away the Eagles (13-8, 4-2).

Bradshaw missed all six of his shots in the first half but made 8 of 11 in the second half. Belmont shot 50 percent from the floor and made 24 of 30 free throws.

Belmont led 38-34 at halftime and Bradshaw immediately went to work to extend that lead, scoring seven points in a 12-7 spurt to put the Bruins up by nine. A dunk by Bradshaw with 8:57 left lengthened the lead to 64-54. The Bruins led by 15 with 2:59 left.

Brent Arrington led the Eagles with 21 points.
