Belmont 72, Kennesaw State 57

Ian Clark had 14 points and Belmont had 11 different Belmont players score in a 72-57 win over Kennesaw State on Wednesday in the first round of the Atlantic Sun Conference tournament.
The top-seeded Bruins (28-4) will play the winner of Thursday's Mercer-Lipscomb game.
Belmont fell behind early by seven points but rallied to lead 35-28 at halftime and used a strong second half to steadily pull away.
Mark Hedgepeth finished with 12 points, Jordan Campbell scored nine and Trevor Noack added eight for Belmont. The Bruins made 21-of-57 shots from the floor, including 12 3-pointers. Six different Belmont players hit a 3-pointer.
Markeith Cummings led the eighth-seeded Owls (8-23) with 20 points, and Spencer Dixon added 15. But Kennesaw State shot only 35.7 percent from the floor, including 4 of 19 from 3-point range. The Owls made only 13 of 22 from the foul line.
