Baylor star not facing assault charge

Baylor senior LaceDarius Dunn's assault case has been dropped.
Dunn's lawyer, Vikram Deivanayagam, confirmed the news to FOXSports.com on Thursday afternoon.
"The DA took a while, but they got it right," Deivanayagam said. "He has been exonerated."
Dunn was suspended for the first three games of the season after he allegedly broke his girlfriend’s jaw in an argument back in September.
The incident occurred on Sept. 27 at Dunn's apartment. Dunn's girlfriend, Lacharlesla Edwards, told officers he hit her with a closed fist. She later asked authorities to drop the aggravated assault charges.
Dunn is averaging 19.7 points per game for the Bears, who are 18-11 overall and 7-8 in Big 12 play.
Baylor concludes the regular season Saturday against Texas in Waco.
