Ball State eases past Indiana-Kokomo 101-62

MUNCIE, Ind. (AP) Jeremie Tyler scored 23 points to lead Ball State to a 101-62 victory over NAIA Indiana-Kokomo on Monday night.
Sean Sellers had 18, Bo Calhoun contributed 12 and Zavier Turner added 11 for Ball State (1-1). The Cardinals made 38 of 61 shots (62.3 percent), including 11 of 20 3-pointers. Turner, Tyler and Sellers each hit three shots from behind the arc.
Jared Lawrence led Indiana-Kokomo with 15 points and Micah Pier added 13. The Cougars were held to 24 of 68 shooting and were outrebounded 44-32.
Tyler had 16 points in the first half, Sellers had 10, and Ball State led 62-30 at halftime. The Cardinals made nine 3-pointers in the first half.

It was Ball State's first time over the 100-point mark since December 2004.
