Anthony Campbell scored 24 points and Austin Peay held off a late rush by Charleston Southern to win 70-64 Friday in the Chicago Invitational Challenge.

Campbell hit 8 of 12 shots, including 3 of 4 3-pointers, as the Governors (3-3) broke a three-game losing streak. Tyshawn Edmondson added 14 points, and John Fraley had 13 points and a game-high eight rebounds for Austin Peay.

The Bucs (2-4) were paced by Jamarco Warren's 18 points and Jeremy Sexton's 14. Warren sank four 3-pointers and Sexton three.

Austin Peay shot 51.1 percent (24 of 47) to 40.0 percent (22 of 55) for Charleston Southern and held a 40-24 rebounding edge.

The Governors never trailed. They stretched an early 6-0 edge to 37-19 late in the first half and were up 37-26 at the break.

The Bucs closed within 64-60 with 3:39 left on Kelvin Martin's basket, but Austin Peay hung on.
