TyShwan Edmondson scored 25 points and Melvin Baker 22 to lead Austin Peay to a 68-59 victory over Southeast Missouri State Saturday night.
Edmondson scored 19 of his points in the second half, when Austin Peay (12-19, 8-8) outscored the Redhawks (14-15, 9-7) 44-34. Baker's 22 points was a career high.
Edmondson made 5 of 6 shots from the floor after the break, hitting all four of his 3-point attempts. He also went 5 for 6 at the foul line.
Leon Powell led Southeast Missouri State with a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double, but that couldn't prevent the Redhawks from losing their fourth straight game. Tyler Stone (11 points) and Marland Smith (10) also finished in double figures.
Baker, on Senior Night, hit a foul shot and then a jumper with 4:13 left to give Austin Peay the lead for good, 54-52. Then his trey made it 57-52.
