Arkansas-Pine Bluff holds off Jackson State 70-69

PINE BLUFFS, Ark. (AP) Marcel Mosley scored 19 points and made his seventh steal with a second left as Arkansas-Pine Bluff held on for a 70-69 win over Jackson State on Monday.
The Golden Lions (6-15, 4-5 Southwestern Athletic Conference), who scored the first 12 points of the game, had squandered a 40-24 halftime lead before Mosley, who had six assists and six rebounds, saved the day.
The Tigers (7-14, 3-6) scored the first seven points after halftime and tied the game midway through on a 3 by Julysses Nobles. A layup by Jeffery Stubbs at 1:25 and his two free throws at 51 seconds gave Jackson State a final chance.
Ghiavonni Robinson and Trent Whiting had 11 each for Pine Bluff, which was just 19 of 32 from the foul line.
Brandon West had 17 points for Jackson State. Javeres Brent added 13 points, Stubbs 12 and Nobles 12 with 14 rebounds.
