Arkansas Men's Basketball Annihilates Austin Peay

Arkansas men’s basketball played lights out in their 99-62 win over Austin Peay putting them at 6-1 for the season.
The Razorbacks absolutely destroyed the Austin Peay Governors at Bud Walton in a 99-62 blowout. This score gives Arkansas their largest win of the year and the third time this season they scored 90 or more points.
So far, the story of the season for Arkansas has been the bench’s scoring ability. Tonight was no different as the Hog’s outscored Austin Peay 55-12 from the pine. Arkansas had twelve scoring players , five of which were in double digits. Hannahs finally broke his 3-pointer drought going 3-5 from beyond the arc to add to his 13 total points fro the night.
One shocker for the night is that freshman, Adrio Bailey, came off the bench to lead the Razorbacks in scoring with 14 points in 18 minutes. Prior to tonight, Bailey had a season-high of 2 points in 12 minutes in the game against Stephen F. Austin. Not only did Bailey lead in points, the 6-6 forward also tied Kingsley for the most rebounds at 7.
Like I have said all year, this team is all offense. The issue they have been having were because guys couldn’t find a constant role. Tonight looked a bit more like the Hogs were starting to find that team chemistry. Kingsley got back to doing what he did as well. Moses had 5 assists, which tied his career high. He also had 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 blocks. This is the kind of play Arkansas needs from him.
As the offense started getting more and more dangerous, the guys got more confident and aggressive on defense. The Hogs had a staggering 45 deflections, 11 blocks, and 9 steals. This is the kind of thing fans needed to see in order to feel better about playing the higher level of competition later in the season. The Razorbacks will need to replicate this performance for when Houston (6-10) comes to Bud Walton Arena in three days. That is going to be a great game that I hope fans can get out for. Woo Pig
