Arkansas 91, Oakland 68

Marshawn Powell scored 20 points Wednesday night as Arkansas made easy work of Oakland, Mich., in a 91-68 victory.
Powell scored 18 points in the first half, helping the Razorbacks (2-0) to a 55-27 halftime lead. The junior forward was 8 of 8 shooting in the half and finished 9 of 13.
Freshman BJ Young had 16 points for Arkansas, which led by as many as 28 points in the first half and had six players finish in double figures.
The Golden Grizzlies (0-2) closed the gap to 60-41 in the second half after a 3-pointer and free throw by Reggie Hamilton, but the Razorbacks took control after that. Travis Bader led Oakland with 21 points.
The loss was the second straight against a Southeastern Conference team to open the season for the Golden Grizzlies, who fell Monday at Alabama.
