Shane Edwards scored 18 points to lead Arkansas-Little Rock to a 70-61 victory over Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday night. Edwards scored eight consecutive points during a second-half stretch to help the Trojans (19-6, 12-2 Sun Belt Conference) win for the 10th time in 11 games and their seventh straight road game. Steven Moore, who finished with 16 points, hit a jumper to give Arkansas-Little Rock a 54-51 lead with 6:28 left in the game. Moore added a jumper and Brandon Patterson scored five consecutive points to give the Trojans a 61-53 advantage with 4:48 remaining. John Fowler's 3-pointer gave Arkansas-Little Rock a 64-53 lead with 4:23 left. Louisiana-Monroe (9-16, 5-9) was 5 of 21 on 3-point attempts. Fowler had 15 points for the Trojans, while Patterson added 11. Jarvis Hill scored 16 and Dynile Forbes added 15 for the Warhawks.
