A pair of John Fowler 3-pointers in the final 1:29 capped a 14-point, second-half comeback Sunday as Arkansas-Little Rock defeated Denver 58-55 in the Sun Belt Conference quarterfinals. The Trojans (23-7) trailed 42-28 with 17:53 left but patiently wore down the Pioneers (15-16) with an occasional press and outstanding rebounding beneath the Denver basket. Curtis Jackson's dunk tied the game at 50 and a Fowler 3 tied the game at 55. His only other basket, also a 3, provided the winning margin. Rob Lewis scored Denver's first 15 points as the Pioneers took an early 21-11. His shot high off the backboard put the Pioneers up 55-52 with 2:07 left, but Andrew Hooper and Nate Rohnert missed 3-point tries down the stretch. Lewis finished with 27 points. Shane Edwards had 21 for UALR.
