''We had a tough stretch there in the Virgin Islands in terms of the results. We were able to come out today and to come out with the energy that we did to start the game, and we were able to build the lead. I thought our guys responded well here today with their consistency, being able to defend, rebound and take care of the basketball,'' Grant said.

''On the defensive end, we got back to understanding pressure, helping each other, being accountable to each other, taking away the 3-point line, doing the little things for each other and paying attention to detail on both ends of the floor. (There were) opportunities to grow in those areas, and today I think we took advantage of those opportunities.''

Asked what he meant by Green's ''conduct detrimental to the team,'' Grant responded, ''It's probably a variety of things I need to address. Understanding accountability, respect, responsibility to ourselves, to our teammates, to our coaches. Things along those lines.''
