The International Boxing Association has chosen Russia's Artur Beterbiev and Ireland's Katie Taylor as the best amateur boxers of the year.
Beterbiev, the 2009 world light-heavyweight champion, successfully defended his European title this year in Moscow.
Taylor got the honor for a second straight year by winning her third lightweight gold medal at the women's world championships held in Barbados last month.
Azerbaijan's youth world flyweight champion Shaban Shahpalangov was selected the best young boxer.
Chuanliang Zhang of China got the award as best coach.
AIBA will present the prizes at its congress on Nov. 2 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
