ANNOUNCER: Bayern knew a derby win at Augsburg would clinch their sixth consecutive Bundesliga title, an unprecedented achievement. Jupp Heynckes was looking for his fourth Bundesliga title as a coach, and his eighth overall.

The hosts, Augsburg, were excellent in the opening stages, and took a shock lead on 18 minutes. Jerome Boateng dispossessed by Sergio Cordova, and the ball cannoned in off Niklas Sule, his second own goal of the season. Venezuelan youngster Cordova is making only his second Bundesliga start of the season.

Bayern recovered from a slow start in the Champions League win at Sevilla, and repeated the trick. On 32 minutes, Joshua Kimmich's cross found Corentin Tolisso. The Frenchman totally escaped Augsburg's marking to score his fourth league goals of the season. That goal knocked the stuffing out of the hosts.

Six minutes later, Kimmich again played provider. Juan Bernat's touch set up up James. The Colombian has certainly played his part in Bayern's success this term. He's becoming a true Bundesliga superstar. So 2-1 at the break, and Bayern on-course for glory.

The champions found the second half more straight-forward. On 62 minutes, Sule and James kept the play alive, and the loose ball was lashed home by Arjen Robben-- the 95th goal of his Bundesliga career. It seems fitting that one of Bayern's icons should make his mark.

Bayern and Robben were hungry for more. The Dutchman's fierce free kick brought the best out of Marwin Hitz.

On 87 minutes, there was a fourth goal, as Sebastian Rudy's corner teed up Sandro Wagner. His fifth league goal in the last seven games, and 10 years after winning his first Bundesliga title with Bayern, he sealed his second.

At the age of 72, Heynckes the oldest coach to win the Meisterschale. Bayern's 27th league title in the Bundesliga era, their 28th overall.
