Won't return in Week 8 Ferguson (ankle) won't return to practice this week, Greg Beacham of the Associated Press reports.

Impact Coach Sean McVay revealed that Ferguson's practice window to return from injured reserve won't open during Week 8 prep. Ferguson has missed the minimum four games while on IR due to an ankle sprain, and for as long as he's sidelined, the Rams will continue to roll with Tyler Higbee, Colby Parkinson and Davis Allen at tight end.

Not expected back next week Ferguson (ankle), who is eligible to come off injured reserve next week, isn't expected to be ready at that time, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Impact Ferguson, who was placed on injured reserve in advance of Week 4 action, will be eligible to return in Week 8 against the Chargers. However, it appears as though the tight end's return isn't imminent, with Schefter's report suggesting that Ferguson's recovery "will take some time." In his absence, Tyler Higbee profiles as the Rams' main pass-catching TE, with Colby Parkinson and Davis Allen also mixing in.

Expected back after minimum IR stint Ferguson (ankle) is expected to be ready to return after his four-game stint on injured reserve, Cameron DaSilva of USA Today reports.

Impact Ferguson was placed on injured reserve ahead of Week 4 and will be eligible to return in Week 8 against the Chargers. In the meantime, the Rams will continue to lean on Tyler Higbee as the main pass-catching tight end, with Colby Parkinson (shoulder) and Davis Allen chipping in as block-first assets.

Lands on injured reserve Ferguson (ankle) was placed on injured reserve Friday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Impact With Ferguson now on injured reserve, he'll be unavailable for the next four games, leaving Colby Parkinson (knee/shoulder) and Tyler Higbee as the Rams' top pass catchers at tight end. With Puka Nacua back for Sunday's game at Philadelphia, the Rams shouldn't need to rely on their tight ends as much anyway.

Injury Report, Week 4 at Eagles: Puka Nacua and Kamren Kinchens good to go; Colby Parkinson questionable; Terrance Ferguson, Jaylen Watson and Aaron Donald ruled out The final injury report for Sunday's Week 4 regular season game between the Rams and the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.

Placed on injured reserve The Rams placed Ferguson (ankle) on injured reserve Friday.

Impact Ferguson underwent X-rays on an ankle injury during this past Sunday's loss at Denver, and while he was able to return to the contest, he then didn't practice in any capacity Wednesday through Friday before being ruled out for Week 4 action. With Ferguson out for at least the next four games and Colby Parkinson (shoulder) questionable for Sunday's road matchup with the Eagles, Davis Allen, Tyler Higbee and rookie second-round pick Max Klare are the current healthy TEs on L.A.'s active roster.

Won't play Sunday Ferguson (ankle) is out for Sunday's game against Philadelphia, Nate Atkins of The Athletic reports.

Impact Ferguson sprained his ankle last Sunday night against the Broncos and didn't practice at all this week, so this comes as no surprise. If Colby Parkinson (shoulder/knee) can play through his injuries, the Rams would be in better shape at tight end. If not, Tyler Higbee and Davis Allen figure to see heavy snaps against the Eagles.

OCTOBER 2 • ROTOWIRE

Remains out of practice Thursday Ferguson (ankle) remained sidelined at Thursday's practice, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.

Impact Like Ferguson, Colby Parkinson (knee/shoulder) also logged a second straight DNP to begin the practice week. If neither tight end is able to play Sunday against Philadelphia, Tyler Higbee, Davis Allen and rookie Max Klare would be in line for heavy snaps in a Los Angeles offense that uses three-plus tight ends more than any other team.

Logs DNP on Wednesday Ferguson (ankle) officially didn't practice Wednesday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.

Impact Ferguson had X-rays performed on his ankle during this past Sunday's game at Denver, and while he was able to return to the game, he finished fourth among Rams right ends in offensive snaps (22 of 86). On Monday, coach Sean McVay told Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register that Ferguson "likely" will be out this coming Sunday in Philadelphia, so his lack of reps Wednesday doesn't come as a surprise. Colby Parkinson (shoulder) also was a DNP on the first Week 4 injury report, so L.A.'s current healthy tight ends on the active roster are Tyler Higbee, Davis Allen and Max Klare.

Will not practice Wednesday Head coach Sean McVay said Ferguson (ankle) will not practice Wednesday, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.

Impact Additionally, Colby Parkinson (shoulder) will not practice Wednesday. Ferguson is not expected to play Sunday against the Eagles after spraining his ankle last Sunday night against the Broncos. If neither Ferguson nor Parkinson can suit up against Philly, Tyler Higbee, Davis Allen and rookie Max Klare would be next up at tight end for Los Angeles.

Likely out for Week 4 Coach Sean McVay said Monday that Ferguson "likely" will be sidelined for Sunday's game in Philadelphia, Adam Grosbard of The Orange County Register reports.

Impact Ferguson missed a portion of Sunday's loss at Denver to get X-rays on an ankle injury, and while he was cleared to return, he finished fourth among Rams tight ends in offensive snaps (22 of 86) behind Tyler Higbee (61), Colby Parkinson (37) and Davis Allen (31). Through three games this season, Ferguson had a 6-54-1 line on nine targets in Week 2 versus the Giants and one catch (on three targets) for nine yards in the other two contests. Now that he's slated to miss some time, the aforementioned trio likely will handle the bulk of the TE workload for L.A., though rookie Max Klare might finally make his pro debut.

Returns after X-rays Ferguson (ankle) has returned to Sunday's game against the Broncos, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official site reports.

Impact Ferguson had been deemed questionable to return after heading to the locker room in the first quarter. He was taken to the X-ray room, per Cameron DaSilva of USA Today Rams Wire, but Ferguson evidently received good news regarding his ankle injury and has been cleared to resume playing.

SEPTEMBER 28 • ROTOWIRE

Headed to locker room early on SNF Ferguson (ankle) went to the locker room in the first quarter of Sunday night's game against the Broncos, James Palmer of NFL on Prime Video reports.

Impact Ferguson seemed to aggravate the ankle injury that limited his practice participation earlier in the week. If Ferguson's unable to return to the game, the Rams will be down two key pass catchers, as they are already playing without Puka Nacua (hip). Ferguson had six catches for 54 yards and a touchdown in the previous game but was hurt on his first target Sunday night, which fell incomplete.
