Dealt to Washington
The Dolphins traded Flowers to the Football Team on Tuesday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Impact
Flowers signed a three-year, $30 million contract last offseason and ended up starting 14 games for the Dolphins. He was a bust at left tackle after being a top-10 pick in the 2015 draft, but he's revived his career at left guard, turning into a 16-game starter for Washington in 2019. He might be the top interior backup, rather than the starting left guard, in his second stint with the Washington Football Team.

Won't play Sunday
Flowers (ankle) is ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com reports.
Impact
Flowers' absence could prove difficult for the Dolphins to overcome in a tough matchup against the Chiefs, given that the team had real difficulty providing consistent pass protection even with every starter healthy. To make matters worse, fellow starting guard Solomon Kindley (foot) has also been managing an injury of his own.
