Impact Ivey struggled massively in the first half Saturday as he completed just 38 percent of his 21 attempts for 54 yards and an interception. He and the 49ers failed to score a point in the first half, so he was replaced at halftime by DeShawn Purdie who led the comeback win. Given the stark difference in Ivey and Purdie's performances, it would not be surprising if Purdie took over Ivey's spot, at least until Max Brown (undisclosed) is back healthy.

Given his poor performance, it would be surprising to see him play a significant role on the 49ers next season.

Impact Ivey once again split time with Jalon Jones after not playing a snap last week for the first time this season. Jones was injured on the first drive of the game but returned shortly after, and the two split snaps for the remainder of the game. Jones was named the starter heading into the game and it finally seemed like the quarterback competition may be over, but Friday's game showed there is no true resolution in sight. After the game, head coach Biff Poggi said both Ivey and Jones were injured during the game, but did not elaborate any further.
