Premier League transfers: Muñoz leaves Palace to reunite with former coach Glasner at Forest

LONDON (AP) — Colombia defender Daniel Munoz has followed his former Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner to Nottingham Forest.

Forest announced the signing of Munoz on Monday for a reported fee of 22 million pounds ($30 million).

Muñoz, who played for Colombia at this year's World Cup, thrived under Glasner at Palace in the wing back role after joining from Belgian team Genk in January 2024.

Glasner left Palace for Forest in the offseason and is deploying a five-at-the-back formation featuring wing backs at his new club, too — explaining why he has turned once again to Muñoz.

It is another big loss for Palace in a summer window that has seen the defending Conference League champions sell defender Maxence Lacroix to Chelsea amid uncertainty about the future of key attacker Ismaila Sarr.

The transfer window shuts in England late Tuesday.
