
Ricardo Escotto, Andretti Cape INDY NXT Part Ways Ahead of Laguna Seca

Andretti Cape INDY NXT and driver Ricardo Escotto will part ways for the remainder of the 2025 INDY NXT by Firestone season, beginning with this weekend’s Grand Prix of Monterey doubleheader.
In a statement released by the team, Andretti Cape INDY NXT “wishes Ricardo the best in his future endeavors.”
The driver from Mexico City scored his best two finishes of the season in the first two races. He finished 10th on the Streets of St. Petersburg and was ninth at Barber Motorsports Park. He is 13th in the standings.
The series will have 19 car-and-driver combinations for this weekend’s doubleheader at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. The first race is 4:30 p.m. ET Saturday on FS2 while Race 2 will be at 1 p.m. ET Sunday on FS1.
