Swope leads Southern Indiana past SIU-Edwardsville 82-72

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (AP) — Isaiah Swope had 23 points in Southern Indiana's 82-72 win over SIU-Edwardsville on Saturday night.

Swope was 6-of-12 shooting, including 4 for 7 from distance, for the Screaming Eagles (12-9, 5-3 Ohio Valley Conference). Jelani Simmons added 17 points and Jacob Polakovich scored 16.

Ray'Sean Taylor and Shamar Wright both scored 19 for the Cougars (14-7, 5-3). Taylor added six rebounds. Deejuan Pruitt pitched in with 10 points and 15 rebounds.

NEXT UP

Both teams next play Thursday. Southern Indiana hosts Eastern Illinois while SIU-Edwardsville visits Tennessee Tech.
