Marrero scores 16, La Salle beats Bucknell 82-72
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Andres Marrero scored 16 points off of the bench to help lead La Salle past Bucknell 82-72 on Tuesday night.
Marrero shot 6 for 9, including 2 for 4 from beyond the arc for the Explorers (5-4). Fousseyni Drame scored 15 points while shooting 5 for 8 (1 for 3 from 3-point range) and 4 of 4 from the free-throw line. Hassan Drame shot 5 for 13, including 2 for 6 from beyond the arc to finish with 12 points.
Andre Screen led the way for the Bison (6-4) with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Ian Motta added 18 points and three steals for Bucknell. Xander Rice also recorded 11 points and four assists.
La Salle entered halftime up 41-32. Marrero paced the team in scoring in the first half with 10 points. La Salle outscored Bucknell by one point in the final half, while Jhamir Brickus led the way with a team-high 10 second-half points.
