Gonsalves scores 18 as Utah Tech takes down Utah Valley 65-53
SAINT GEORGE, Utah (AP) — Noa Gonsalves' 18 points helped Utah Tech defeat Utah Valley 65-53 on Saturday night.
Gonsalves shot 7 for 15, including 4 for 9 from beyond the arc for the Trailblazers (4-3, 1-0 Western Athletic Conference). Beon Riley scored 17 points while shooting 4 of 10 from the field and 8 for 11 from the foul line, and added 13 rebounds. Tanner Christensen had 10 points and was 4-of-5 shooting and 2 of 3 from the free-throw line.
Caleb Stone-Carrawell led the Wolverines (5-3, 1-1) in scoring, finishing with 15 points. Drake Allen added 14 points and three steals for Utah Valley. In addition, Tanner Toolson finished with 10 points and two steals.
