Milicic's former club files lawsuit

Milicic, the second overall pick of the June draft, has played for Hemofarm since 2000 and the club says it has the 18-year-old under contract through 2009.
Agent Marc Cornstein and Pinnacle Management Corp., a sports representative agency based in New York, are accused of intentionally, knowingly and wrongfully interfering with the contract of the 7-foot-1 Milicic.
"The truth of the matter is that Pinnacle and others cavalierly ignore our contracts with Milicic and dismiss out of hand his obligations to our team," said Miodrag Babic, President of Hemofarm Group, in a statement.
NBA rules stipulate that teams can draft players under contract with foreign clubs, but cannot pay more than $350,000 to buy out the contract.
