WWE superstar Cody Rhodes, who is also known in the ring as "Stardust," has asked for his release from the company.
Rhodes made the announcement on his personal Twitter account Saturday morning.

While Rhodes did not elaborate on the details of his departure from WWE, he wrote that he will address it in the future.
Rhodes, who's real name is Cody Runnels, is the son of the late WWE legend Dusty Rhodes, and brother of "Goldust" Dustin Rhodes.
Rhodes, 30, first signed with WWE in 2006, starting out in the Ohio Valley Wrestling developmental territory and made his WWE main roster debut in 2007 as Cody Rhodes. In 2013, after teaming up with his brother "Goldust," Rhodes took on the "Stardust" gimmick and the pair became WWE Tag Team Champions.
