WWE has announced that the cruiserweights will be getting their own show, which will be titled ‘205 Live’.
The cruiserweights came into WWE Raw with hype coming off the Cruiserweight Classic. TJ Perkins had won the tournament, carried the Cruiserweight Championship in, and had been set to lead a group of about 10 wrestlers into this new age for the division. With Raw needing more bodies to fill extra time that the brand split left over, this seemed like a way to solve the problem.
However, since the cruiserweights’ introduction, their main roster popularity hasn’t come close to what it was in the CWC. The crowds have been silent for them and haven’t been invested in just about all of their matches.
Well, WWE seems to be looking to change things. On Wednesday, they announced that the cruiserweights would be receiving their own one-hour show, ‘205 Live’. This will begin airing on Tuesday, November 29 at 10:00 PM ET, on the WWE Network. Mauro Ranallo and Corey Graves will be calling the action. Superstars that will be part of this are Brian Kendrick, TJ Perkins, Rich Swann, Noam Dar, HoHo Lun, Cedric Alexander, Lince Dorado, Gran Metallik, Tozawa, Jack Gallagher, Gurv Sihra and Harv Sihra.
This seems to be a way of showcasing all the cruiserweights in their own exclusive timeslot. It’s a bold decision from WWE given the way the division has fared over the past six weeks.

“205 Live is a natural progression to showcase the depth of our roster. With world-class talent such as Brian Kendrick, TJ Perkins, and Rich Swann, 205 Live will be a must-see program on WWE Network.”
What should be noted is Talking Smack held the 10:00 PM ET timeslot on the Network. This would mean they’re going to get moved from that time or the show won’t air anymore. So far, the company has not said what will happen to the SmackDown post-show.
