TJ Perkins' WWE Entrance Theme Gets Praise from Mega Man
TJ Perkins debuted an entrance theme at WWE Clash of Champions that sounded a bit like Mega Man’s, which got plenty of approval.
TJ Perkins made his WWE main roster debut at Sunday’s Clash of Champions pay-per-view. He took on Brian Kendrick in a Cruiserweight Championship match, and won via submission. A post-bout angle saw the former WWE Tag Team Champion headbutt TJP, potentially extending this feud into October.
The story of Perkins’ night hadn’t been his match, though.
After Kendrick came to the ring, a gamer-esque theme song played throughout Bankers Life Fieldhouse for Perkins. It sounded like you had just stepped into a video game, and sounded similar to Mega Man’s music. “HP” and “Max Health” appeared on the video screens, two words that go with classic fight and survival games.
The entrance, that got fans talking at Clash of Champions, can be seen below. He got a nice pop to go with it.
The entrance got plenty of praise, and got a nod from Mega Man. Well, obviously not the character, but the official Twitter account tweeted at the Cruiserweight Champion (who also has “Mega” in his Twitter handle).
Congrats to @MegaTJP for the win at #WWEClash and we love the new entrance! Fight on champ, for everlasting peace!

A cool endorsement there from the Mega Man account. Perkins even has a shirt on Pro Wrestling Tees, that has “Mega TJP” printed on the front.
Raw Tag Team Champion, an avid gamer and host of the UpUpDownDown YouTube channel, loved the entrance, too.
And yes, I'm extremely jealous of @MegaTJP entrance theme. It's absolutely fantastic!!!

TJ Perkins will now head into Monday’s Raw as still the Cruiserweight Champion. He’ll probably continue the feud with Kendrick, including potentially getting an angle on the show. WWE’s preview teases continued “chaos” in the cruiserweight division, so something is likely to go down. If that means the former TNA star gets a match, then we would hear the fun Mega Man-inspired music of his.
