The 32 best moments from WrestleMania 32

The 32 best moments from WrestleMania 32

Published Apr. 4, 2016 12:50 a.m. ET

WrestleMania 32 set an all-time WWE attendance record, as 101,763 fans watched Roman Reigns win the World Heavyweight title, Charlotte retain the newly renamed women's championship, and Shane McMahon plummet from the top of the cell in AT&T Stadium. Here are the best moments from the show, presented in the order in which they occurred.

1. The WWE ditches the "Divas" butterfly title for the new (and stellar) women's championship

The Diva era in WWE is dead. Female wrestlers were referred to as superstars on the broadcast, and on the kickoff show WWE Hall of Famer Lita unveiled a new women's championship belt, modeled after the men's heavyweight title. It looks amazing.

2. Sami Zayn takes out everyone by diving through a ladder

3. Sami Zayn, in general

Just two days after a sensational five-star match at NXT TakeOver with Shinsuke Nakamura, Zayn made his WrestleMania debut and put in the best performance in the seven-man ladder match for the intercontinental title. Zack Ryder took the title, but Zayn is very clearly going to be a huge star for a long time to come.

4. Stardust's custom polka dot ladder

5. Sin Cara springboards off the top rope

6. Sin Cara destroys a ladder (and Stardust)

Sin Cara pulled off the most dangerous spots in the ladder match, and broke one ladder in half during a huge fall from the middle of the ring.

7. AJ Styles' frontflip splash from the apron

8. This 20-foot tall box of Booty-O's cereal

9. The New Day's costumes

The New Day pulled some of the biggest cheers of the night, and everything about their entrance was sensational. They walked out of a giant box of cereal as Super Saiyans

10. Stone Cold stuns Xavier Woods

After Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley and Stone Cold made a surprise entrance to beat up the League of Nations, the New Day returned to give the WWE legends some dance lessons. Stone Cold was not feeling Xavier Woods' flow.

11. Stone Cold soaking the canvas with beer

12. Mick Foley giving his beer to a fan

Have a nice day.

13. A suplex counter on the big screen

14. Dean Ambrose taking 13 suplexes from Brock Lesnar

This match perhaps wasn't as long as some fans expected (and seemed to end rather abruptly), but there's no doubting that Dean Ambrose took an extreme amount of punishment.

15. Dean Ambrose using a fire extinguisher as a weapon

16. Paul Heyman's reaction when Dean Ambrose pulled out a chainsaw

17. Sasha Banks' entrance with Snoop Dogg

18. Sasha's frog splash to break up a submission

19. Charlotte's moonsault

20. The entire women's championship match, really

Sasha Banks, Becky Lynch and Charlotte all put on incredible performances in what was likely the best match of the night. WWE gave these three women a chance to show what they can do on the biggest stage, and they delivered a classic. The future of women's wrestling is very, very exciting.

21. Ric Flair being taken out by Becky Lynch

Flair cost Sasha Banks -- who seemed destined to win given her popularity with the crowd and her elaborate entrance -- by pulling her outside the ring while Charlotte locked Lynch into a submission. Earlier in the match, he was wiped out by a flying Lynch.

22. Shane McMahon's sons join him on the ramp

The cutest moment of the night.

23. The Undertaker's entrance

The Undertaker's entrance was nearly six minutes long, but it's always one of the highlights of any WrestleMania.

24. Shane McMahon is chokeslammed onto the steps

As The Undertaker punished McMahon in the early stages, it seemed as if this chokeslam on the steps was about as extreme as the match would get. That assumption would prove to be hilariously wrong.

25. Shane McMahon hits the coast to coast

Classic Shane.

26. Shane McMahon drops an elbow from the top of the cell

It's hard to believe this actually happened, and that McMahon still took a tombstone piledriver later in the match.

27. Diamond Dallas Paige and Tatanka are surprise entrants into the Andre The Giant memorial battle royal

All that DDP yoga is paying off.

28. Shaq chokeslams Kane

Charles Barkley better not cross the Diesel.

29. The Rock shows up with a flamethrower

WWE heavily advertised The Rock's involvement in WrestleMania 32, and prior to the main event he came out wielding a flamethrower for some reason. It was cool, I guess?

30. The Wyatts save an awkward Rock promo

As The Rock ran through a few catchphrases and rattled off the attendance figure, fans on Twitter started to wonder "is this really all The Rock is here for?" Fortunately the Wyatt family, which had been mysteriously left off the WrestleMania card, showed up to challenge The Rock to a fight.

31. The (former) champ is here

After the Rock quickly disposed of Erick Rowan in six seconds, John Cena made a surprise return from injury to team up with The Rock and further embarrass the Wyatts. Love him or hate him, it's better to have Cena in the ring than on the sideline.

32. Triple H's entrance

The main event of WrestleMania had a weird feel to it, as seemingly all 101,763 fans didn't really want Roman Reigns to be there (and they especially didn't want him to win the title). The real highlight, however, was Triple H's spectacular entrance to the match featuring his wife Stephanie McMahon.
