Actor and former football player, Terry Crews is stepping into the ring with a former WWE star to train for a movie.

Actor Terry Crews is a well-known face in Hollywood. He starred in the show “Everybody Hates Chris”, “Idiocracy”, “White Chicks”, and had some classic appearances in the Old Spice commercials. The 48-year-old even played professional football in the early 1990’s, including with the Los Angeles Rams, San Diego Chargers, Washington Redskins, and the Philadelphia Eagles. He then pursued acting, and has thrived since.

How about Terry Crews as a wrestler, though?

Well, he’s not going to become a professional, but he is training for a wrestling role upcoming movie. According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Crews trained with former WWE star Shad Gaspard, one-half of Cryme Tyme, for this before filming began in September. It’s for Adam Sandler’s newest movie “Sandy Wexler”, which will be on Netflix. A photo of Crews with Gaspard can be seen inside the previous link. WWE announcer David Otunga will appear in the movie, as well as Hall of Famer, Rikishi. The Hollywood Reporter also noted in July that Jennifer Hudson (Otunga’s fiancee), Kevin James, Rob Schneider, Colin Quinn, and Nick Swardson got casted.

The report didn’t note when this movie will air on the streaming service.

Crews has worked with Sandler before, including the 2005 film, “The Longest Yard. This also starred WWE legend, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and WWE 2K17 cover man, Goldberg.

We’ll see what kind of moves Gaspard helps Crews with. The former has 14 years of experience, which should help the actor learn about the bumps and bruises in a wrestling ring. He has been out of WWE since 2010, when the company released him. Gaspard’s Cryme Tyme tag team included he and JTG, who got let go in 2014.

So, will you be checking out this film to see Terry Crews battle in a wrestling ring?
