Roman Reigns vs. Rusev U.S. Title Match Set For WWE Hell in a Cell 2016

Roman Reigns will defend his newly won United States Championship against Rusev in a Hell in a Cell match!

The long-running feud between United States champion Roman Reigns and the former champ, Rusev, will come to the brutal, bloody conclusion it was always meant to. Tonight it was confirmed that Reigns will defend his title against Rusev in a Hell in a Cell match at the eponymous PPV event!

That’s right, a Hell in a Cell at Hell in a Cell! This all began tonight when Reigns came out to hype his newly-won championship and the meaning it held for his legendary Samoan family. But it wasn’t long before Rusev’s wife Lana, probably still with cake in her dress from the wedding celebration Reigns ruined months ago, interrupted the promo to the delight of the crowd. She challenged Reigns on behalf of her husband, who eventually came out to talk for himself.

Or more accurately, to fight for himself because it descended into a brawl outside the ring. Reigns had the upper hand, then Rusev, and just as the Russian brute was making his way to the back still holding the U.S. title, the big dog came out of nowhere with an awesome Superman Punch.

Reigns accepted Rusev’s challenge but demanded it be inside the terrifying Hell in a Cell structure, which has shortened more careers than WWE is probably willing to admit. Could we get a Superman Punch from the top of the cage? Mick Foley would HAVE to approve of that, wouldn’t he?

So this thing is official for Hell in a Cell, which is set for Sunday, October 30th live from TD Garden Arena in Boston, Massachusetts. Who do you think will walk out of the live special with the belt?
